Brian put up another of his very much Summer photos, so as I like Summer, I'll do the same. This is from a 35mm Serenar on my BessaR a few weeks ago, about 70 miles from my home:
That reminds me of my summers when I was the age of those kids. We would eat our watermelon on the back porch and spit the seeds off the edge. The following summer we would have nice watermelon vines all around the back porch.

Oddly, this photo was made recently at the Thunderbird Drive In theater and Swap Shop in Ft. Lauderdale. It is a 14 screen drive in showing first run movies at night and one of the world's largest Flea Markets during the daytime 7 days a week. It has been functioning as a drive in since '63 and a flea market since '66. It is a destination not to miss.
I still eat watermelon every other week but now I buy them from a friend who drives to 500 miles round trip to GA early every Friday morning for a big load of watermelons that he sells out of the back of his truck.
