Recently picked up a Summitar (my third over the years) for my Leotax Elite. Always one of my favorites-- this one has some haze but seems to shoot OK. Every year, I try to get Cherry Blossom pictures...🙂

I've been trying for a long time to get that shot - blue sky, puffy clouds, blossoms at the right point of bloom -- the Summitar has that 3-D punch "Leica Glow" rendering somehow here. You don't always see it - but some shots look like they are from the 1940's/1950's.

The recently posted photos by B. Toews and Bingley show that the Summitar can be sharp and contrasty when it wants to be (presumably clear glass and stopped down).

It really is a lens with 2 characters - soft, dreamy, glowing when opened up

As well as crisp and sharp as a razor when stopped down
