I recently purchased a MX-EVS Rolleiflex built in 1954. Cosmetically a beutiful camera that had seen little use but since it had sat for at least thirty years without being used it had a few problems that needed repair. The film transport was a little stiff, the shutter speeds were off (one second stayed open for more like 10 seconds), shutter release lock did not work, top flter retairing ring loose, shutter speed dial hard to turn. I always hate sending a camera out for repair as it always seems to take so long to get it back. After looking through RFF for advice I decided to send the Rollei to Krikor Maralian at Krimar Photo Shop http://www.krimarphoto.com/ (Alot of people also recomended Harry Fleenor but said to expect a wait ) Well Krikor phoned within a hour of when FedEx said he recieved it with a estimate, when I gave him the OK I asked how long it would take him. His reply was two or three days and I made him repeat that as I thought I heard wrong. Well to make a long story short I shipped the camera out on a thursday and had it back the next thursday with everything fixed and working like new. In my nexperiance this kind of service is unheard of in the camera repair biz (in Jan it will be three years since I sent a deposit to Henry Scherer to get one of my Contax IIA's seviced and have gone from 119 to 38 on the wait list) Anyway love the camrea and having a ball shooting with it.... THANK-YOU KRIKOR

I had a similar experience with Krikor servicing my Rolleicord Va several years ago. Great quality and fast service.

I'm geting ready to have Kindermann service my T. It looks new and I am the 2nd owner. The 1st owner kept it in its case and per his widow bought it shortly before he became too ill to use it and it sat in the cupboard throughout mst of its life. Since I bought it, it has also sat. Recently, I starting rethinking my system and am considering replacing my general Bronica camera with it and retiring the Bronica as it is heavier and I am starting to feel the weight. Hope I'm as fortunate. They are just up the street from me.

Krikor is great. He's serviced a 35 SE for me, a Rolleicord Vb, and a 3.5F. Very reasonably priced for the quality of work -- and man, is he fast!

I've been to his hole in the wall of a shop in NJ a couple of times. I have a couple of TLRs to send him when I have the cash.
