Does anybody know if Fuji Superia 1600 has been discontinued? It's still on Fuji's site, but B&H lists it as "No longer available." Adorama doesn't have it either. Nuts.

Hmm.

We seem to be on the same page today. I had been looking for some this morning and couldn't find it available from any of the usual mail order shops in New York.

I sent an email to Fujifilm USA and received a prompt reply back that it had been discontinued. I'm a bit confused though. Perhaps it is still being produced but not imported to the USA. It is still listed as a product on the Fujifilm Global site and I do find it being sold online in the U.K. and Korea.

My understanding is that Superia 1600 is the same as Natura 1600, that was (is? http://www.japanexposures.com/shop/product_info.php?cPath=24&products_id=67) sold in Japan.

I couldn't find it on Fuji Japan, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything.

You can run these links through Google translate or something. The link in the upper right on each page (JAN) is the catalog numbers so (I think) you can see what formats each product is actually available in. I think these are all the C41 films.

FWIW: The Superia 1600 is a fine film, but I seem to get better colors & exposures with the Fuji Natura film. There's a bit more contrast, vibrance and saturation.

Here Superia 1600 costs almost 2x of Superia 800. When I need extra speed, I ask lab to push Superia 800.
