3 from 36 on a good day.
Thanks for the recommendations. I used Vision Image a long time ago for some slide film. It was a hassle getting there but from memory I think they do a mail out service. I can probably drop them there and get the developed negs mailed back to me if not too pricey.

I should be OK for the 19th. I may need to be in Woolloomooloo from 11-1pm, could be back in the city by 2:30pm.

I can make it on the 19th after work (say 6.30pm onwards). Perhaps a dinner somewhere would be nice.
Last meeting cost me $1300, will this one be as expensive?
Cheers - John

The 19th would be good for me also. I may be able to meet early afternoon if my wife can pick my son up from the school bus.
Paolo, I use Vision Image for both C41 and E6 with good results. Paxtons in Bondi Junction also have a minilab which I've used a couple of times and are cheaper than Vision Image. DigiDirect have also put a minilab into their Bondi Junction store (must be a lot of hipsters in Bondi
). However, IIRC Vision Image use 'dip and dunk' processing which I think is better for longevity.
cheers,

Looking good for March 19th then. Johnmcd, Jonmanjiro won't be at this one to tempt us with cool gear, but Bobkonos sounds just as dangerous. Also, I told Bobkonos that someone at our meetup will fill him in on obscure cricket terminology, so I'm relying on all you guys to man up.
Dinner is definitely on if we're not meeting till evening.

If this is not a closed meeting, I could be available and would like to attend.

Any results from your ZI yet, John?

As a serious collector and shooter, he's more dangerous I'd say

The more the merrier! I'd join too if I was still in Oz.

The ZI is just what I was hoping. It meters pefectly and it's very quick to shoot with.
I have done one double exposure accidently so maybe the grip would be good as we discussed.

Hi Tim,
You're more than welcome, although be prepared for an attack of GAS when you see what the others turn up with, especially Peter (pyeh)
.

Tim, Uncle RFF needs YOU! And everyone who would like to come!
What are people's preferences about time and place, coffee shop or pub, dinner after?
Seajak, I'm sure I don't know what you mean...Anyway, as Jon says, I think Bob is going to show us all up as dilettantes.
Ong has PM'd to say he should be able to make it, and hopefully River, who missed the last one.

Would be nice to catch up with Ong this time - last time, I was too distracted

Shaken, so blurred
Thanks to Peter for directing my attention this way. I could be available either day (the Monday or Thursday) but it looks as if Thursday is the consensus. I'm looking forward to another meet-up.

Mike, good to hear from you and that you look like you'll be able to make it.
Shall we say Thursday March 19th is firm, with details along the following lines:
- We could start meeting from 4.00 pm onwards, and people join as they become available. The QVB Jet Bar was very successful last time (thanks Lynn).
- Move on and go walkabout after most or all people arrive, ideally when there is still enough light.
- Sit down for dinner somewhere in city north, The Rocks, Circular Quay or Opera House concourse after a sufficiency of exposures.
- Continue yarning where we left off at tea time.
It's all very fluid so far, so join in with any refinements or alternatives or good venues.
Bob is keen to learn about Sydney, cricket and our cameras so lets all have a good time! Bob's wife may join us for dinner, if not the whole evening, so as I said before, partners and others all welcome.
Any other Sydneysiders or indeed anyone else who is in town going to join us? The more the merrier.

That's good news Ong.
Hugivza, it's only a short flight from the Left Coast! Actually, Bobkonos is going to Perth too, presumably for the cricket, so you guys have an excuse, if you need one, to make a meet.
Bumping this thread so that lazy Aus members might catch it.
Still looking for feedback on what people think would be good to do on March 19th.

I heard about this one via Ong, I'm available to partake in late afternoon or evening activities -- very keen to meet all of you.

Wondering if any of the forum members from Sydney Australia would be interested in a meet up?
I see other areas from around the world meeting up on a regular basis so why not us?
So who is interested in a day photographing and a drink or two afterwards talking about photography and rangefinders?
I would be interested.

Deerstalker and Vladimir, that's excellent if you can come.
So Vladimir, in case you didn't see the more recent posts, we've got a meet up scheduled for Thursday March 19 (see post#134). Ideas for the evening are still being solicited, so make any suggestions you like.
