please...
i bought dave's used flash yesterday...the price was too good to pass up even for this unemployed guy...and for some reason, i am getting quite excited about it.
normally i own a flash and it mostly sits there...
i already have the fuji efx-20 flash...a cute little thing that works pretty good but i have to admit that if i think i'm gonna use a flash i tend to take the xe-1 with the built in along for the ride.
but i have visions of off camera flash and maybe the little x20 as a second unit...
i already ordered a cheap ttl cord from china...
who here uses the fuji flash and maybe post some pics to see what you have done with it...

I use my EF42 with the X10. But find that the TTL function does not work in a foolproof way. I still have to trial and error determine the right exposure. To set the flash output manually is also a hit and miss affair. (One can set the output in ratios: full, half and so on.) I like the fact that the head is very flexible, up, down.
I would like to learn how can I get the TTL Function to work so I do not have to trail and error the setting. Am I doing something wrong?

i like it...kind of expensive but then i find most flash in general to be expensive.
the x20 is a good size for leaving on the camera for a night of flash shots...it recycles on the slow side though.

i do not own the ef-42 yet but i'm planning to do so.
But i have read in other forums that it:
1. feels a bit cheaply build (compared to canon/nikon flashes) since it is built out of plastic mostly
2. make the whole combination XP1 + EF-42 unbalanced (well...no surprise...the X20 was introduced with the XP1 for a reason xP)
3. makes some sound while it recycles (I'm used to that from my pentax af540fgz)
4. takes quite long to recycle (i don't know what that means though...does it take 10s or sth?)
5. is supposed to be really good while using TTL. Most of the users agree in this point.

flash arrived today...the manual makes it seem pretty easy...might be tougher when the ttl cord shows up and i have to figure out if any/what changes need to be made...especially if i want to use the x20 as a mini side flash...i should read that manual soon!
