I really didn't pay much attention to these 2 apps...I had downloaded Forum Runner and forgot I did and just now tried Tapatalk.

I don't really like either of them at all.

I have those Web sites I enjoy all packed together in a bookmark folder and open them all at once... I've noticed that some which support one or the other of these two apps, causes a pop up everytime you open them on an ipad...so annoying!

If supporting one or the other apps in this forum will institute a pop up when I open the forum on the ipad in safari, I then vehemently oppose supporting the app.

Just my 2¢...

Any plan from the admin about when the plug in will be installed and activated ? :)

And the testing. IIRC, last time the Tapatalk plug in is making spike on the server performance.

RFF will try Tapatalk. If it does not work out well, we will try something else. Best, Stephen
If I write "rangefinder" in tapatalk, the only forum finds is La Vida Leica. Should I write another key word? With Forum Runner there are too many Parse Errors.

I only tried Tapatalk in the last few weeks, and it suits my functional needs quite nicely. Many other forums I browse use Tapatalk, including Serious Compacts and all its sister sites like mu43, e-mount talk, Fuji X Spot, as well as LUF, APUG and others. Having RFF on Tapatalk would be great.

So, has anything come of this? I have to admit that I have not been on here much recently, although I probably would be on more if Tapatalk were integrated.

Last I heard was the folks at TapTalk had no replied to questions about the way they deal with security. That was about a week ago or so.

I've tried to use Tapatalk a couple of times for sites that support it. Can't seem to make it do what I want, that is, let me browse the the new posts and respond when I want to.

So I dumped it and will no longer waste time using it.

Vote for tapatalk - I visit APUG, largeformatphotography, and l-camera-forum successfully with it. Would be a nice fit to have RFF on the same basis.

Vote for Tapatalk here, It seems to be maintained more frequently by the developers, as well as working with most of the other forums I read such as APUG.
