Classifieds and gallery have never been accessible through Forum Runner either. Technically these sections aren't forums and use different code, so they can't be parsed by a forum reader plugin.
I see. I was wondering the same when using forum runner. I thought tapatalk would be different but actually it's just a better reader while content s are the same.
It would be perfect if "Classifieds" can be accessed via tapatalk also. So far I've not found it yet.
Personally I use the Atomic Web browser.
It gives full RFF access, including the gallery and classifieds.

Thanks, tapawalk is working fine, there are still a few ergonomic issues, but it is stable. And it gives access to several Leica-oriented fora in a single interface.

Tapatalk works
Just recently (a week or so ago) I set up Tapatalk to read the forum. It works - no issues. Though, I am a lurker (briefly de-lurking) and so I'm just using it for reading.
I should say that other sections of the forum, such as "Classifieds" don't seem to be accessible via Tapatalk.
Back to lurking.

Tapatalk is working great for me as well, much better than forum runner. I know the classifieds where not available on forum runner either, but it would be nice to have that feature in tapatalk someday.
The classifieds will never work with tapatalk or forum runner - software not compatible.
try the Atomic Web browser - compatible with forum and the classifieds

Tapatalk posted an update that inserts ads by default on literally every page of every thread, and on the topic listings as well. This happens even if you paid for the pro version. The only way to get rid of the ads is a $1/month fee. I wrote to complain about this. I'm not averse to paying for web content, but they aren't even hosting the material they're running advertising against, and this move feels like a bait and switch.
They told me that the fee goes to the site owners, and I admit I didn't believe them. Is this true? If RFF needs money to operate, I would much rather pay a subscription fee directly to Stephen than to feel extorted by an app.

I have tapatalk on my phone right now I don't see any ads at the top or bottom of the page. At the bottom of the threads at their homepage on their app where it lists all the forms that you have think to it. So I don't know what you got but it sounds like you got spam going on it's outside of Tapatalk

This is news to me.
I did not agree to Tapatalk ads, nor will I.
false program downloads is big business.
no one else is reporting this so far.
Where exactly did you download it from?

Oh dear. It's the latest update from the iOS App Store. I don't know if the android version does this. Many one star reviews over the past few days because of the sudden change. There is a 99 cent monthly in-app purchase to get rid of the ads...see the listing here

I wish there for a third option to vote: "No thanks, I detest this crap for mobile devices since the browser is better in any way. In fact I find all mobile device adjusted web pages to be a major pain in the ass, and wish them to stop hurting innocent WEB users. Please spread the message to set your mobile browser to act as desktop client and force the developers to stop this nonsense".
Happy to help, please let me know if the third option should be elaborated a bit more

I see - must be the iPad version vs. the iPhone version then.
Do hope this "great" new update will not see its way into the iPhone version...
Ben
p.s. According to what I see in the "Me" menu at the very bottom, I am on:
App Version: 5.4.2(920)

Ok I think I got it. Just checked the APP store and it says:
If you have previously purchased the app and seeing ads - tap the Contact Us button to email us with your proof of purchase, out support staff will grant you a VIP ads free access.
Check "what's New" on the app store or the link here: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/tapatalk-forum-blog-rss-reader/id307880732?mt=8

Just an update to this: I asked Tapatalk to give me free VIP access, as I am a legacy customer, and they eventually did. I also saw this added to the description:
It's quite possible that advertising is turned on by default, and that Stephen's web administrator hasn't turned it off? Anyway, I was getting ads until just today, when they activated my VIP status, so this might be worth looking into. Thanks!
* Support your site owners - Tapatalk displays ads on forums that turned on advertising.

Does TapaTalk let you zoom images? I never found a way to do that in Forum runner, which is quite a drawback for a photography forum!
