Can anyone tell me what is going on with these photos? Seem to get lighter from side to side and top to bottom. Light leak from bellows? Light leaking in from the red window? And the spots?

Trix 400 developed in Rodinal stand dev method.

Looks like a combination of developer problems mixed w/ possibly some camera issues. Did you pull the film up taut after every advance? On a folder, it's best to advance to the next number after every shot after you make your exposure, put don't advance it quite all the way. Do that, slowly, when you are ready to make your next shot. You want to make sure the film is pulled up tight. And did you ck the inside of the camera carefully for debris in the film chamber?

I think the other issues, if not all of the issues, are development related.

Then it might be development issue related. And maybe the loose film. I'll remember about tightening it up before the next shot. I did find it easier to advance the film after the shot rather than before. Several double exposures.

What I'm seeing looks like air bubbles and not quite enough developer in the can when developing. Did you pre-soak the film before developing?

Any agitation during development? Can you tell us your "recipe" for stand development?

Can you show us a photo of a part of the film strip containing several frames?

Light areas could be not enough developer, so the bottom 1" of film more developed than the upper portion. Black spots could be air bubbles where the film was not developed at all, then turned clear at the fixing step.

I didn't presoak the negatives. I was more interested to see if the bellows were indeed light tight. But now, I do see why the negatives are lighter on the one side--would this be the top of the developing canister?

1+100 Rodinal--it's some old stuff I rarely use anymore.

10 flips before banging the canister on the counter. I then left it for one hour.

I didn't use fixer--what I had was expired. I did have some packets of powder but didn't mix it up for this one roll.

The current roll I have in the camera is Reala. I have fresh C41 chems for that roll and a huge backlog of film from last year.
