Just to update- I am still in love with the Rd-1, but I did indeed wilt and kept the M8 as well. Despite it's problems, it can turn out some of the best files I have seen. But the RD-1 has truer colors out of the camera, better 1600 Iso (well the M8 doesn't have 1600, but RD-1 has better high Iso color rendition, the M8 high Iso B7W is superb). I see using the M8 for wider angle, and the RD-1 more normal perspective, but as I said, they will get along just great. Certainly, in bang for buck terms, the RD-1 is the winner! best....Peter
