i have gotten a few comments posted on my classified ad and a few more sent by p.m., offering kind words of support and i just wanted to thank you guys in public.

as some of you might know, i have been out of work for a few months and have been taken by complete surprise at the difficulty in getting another job. i have never had a problem finding work, in fact, i have been sought after in the past. times change i guess, my contacts are mostly retired and my field has undergone a slow downsizing, fewer jobs and more youthful candidates looking to take them.

i am still hopeful that my next opportunity is just around the corner.

Geez that is tough Joe ... I hope something comes through soon.

I had to sell gear a couple of years ago to survive and it didn't feel good!

Joe, your threads about and enthusiasm for the X Pro1 were the instigator for me looking into and eventually getting one (and being exceptionally pleased with it too) so its a real shame to see your current circumstances cause you to put your gear up for sale.

Good luck in your search for employment, I hope you find something soon.

May ALL good Things come Speedily your Way...🙂

I am soooo Happy we had the Opportunity to Meet & Shoot...
I had a Grand Time aand am very Sorry to see You having some difficult Times.
Sending You Love & Good Will -xo- H

Hi Joe: Sorry about your work troubles. I was in your situation a couple of years back (I am 64 years old), out of work for over a year, and I wasn’t feeling too good about myself, as work is so much part of a person life, identity, and self worth. I finally fund something acceptable in a completely different field, and while I had to take a huge pay cut, I don’t have too many responsibilities and therefore I am less stressed out. Once I am done and punched out, my work does not follow me at home, it stays right there. What a relief!Yes I have to be live with less, but overall my life is more enjoyable.
Best wishes in every sense of the word.

Joe, I was out of work for three years. I did get some low paid stuff, but when you are over 50, it isn't like when one was looking at 30...

Don't quit looking, somewhere there is a job for you.
