once again, many thanks. the irony is that i have spent most of my adult life working for low wages in the not for profit world, helping others to find work!
i am looking at everything from retail to government work...i think age is a factor and a shrinking market in my field...i do think i will eventually find something in another field...

Stay away from retail. Low pay, bad hours. I should fill you in on what it was like working in the Amazon warehouse around Christmas...

Government work can also be low pay, but should be stable, if you work for the right government.
