The 16MM lens and the elusive lens hood.

I bought the NEX 3 with 2 lens kit. The 16mm does not come with a lens hood (or at least I can not find it), the 17-55 lens does (and, of course, it fits the 16MM lens). Am I supposed to swap the hood and also use it on the 16MM? Or is it not needed? :confused:
 
As I don't have the 16mm, I would just say "try and see". :)

Since the hood does not make the kit 18-55 zoom vignette at 18mm, maybe it does not produce vignetting for the 16mm lens either.
 
Yes, I believe the hood is the same for both. That being said, although I certainly promote the use of lens hoods, the 16mm is one of the more flare proof designs around.
 
+1 on douglas' comment.

you do not need a hood on this lens, with or without the wide adapters.

at any rate, I'd love to see some flare samples from this one.
