Also, I can now say I have a rangefinder with a red dot on it. If people assume the red dot says Leica, who am I to contradict them

Is it a Bolsey?
Here's an Argus C3 Standard:

Anybody who'd pay $40 for one would be a cook, I believe I paid about $15 for it.

No, it is a Kodak Signet 35 (The one I posted above).

OK, I haven't serviced the €15 Revue yet, so I'll put the Minolta in:
Minolta Hi-Matic 7sII, bought from the local classifieds for €30 = $38.98.
Came complete with case and flash in like new condition. With shipping (€4.45) and a battery (€1.4), I'm a bit over the $40 limit at $46.64.
Sorry, the ad is deleted and I didn't keep a screenshot.
Here's the camera:
And here's a shot from a roll of Ilford Delta 100:
I really like the camera and have it with me all the time. My avatar is from the day I shot the photo above.

Your links don't seem to work, and I'm keen to see your images.
EDIT: Working now, thanks.

Looking at some of the other photos here though
makes me think I need to invest in some quality B&W film....
Very cool stuff guys!! Maybe one day I'll be cool too!
Are the links working? I can see them on my side...

You have some very odd oddities stores in Salida, it seems. Good spot.

OK, I've assembled all the stuff I need for my first contender.
Here's the camera:
Here's the ad:
http://www.apug.org/forums/forum379/118498-fs-voigtlander-vito-35mm.html
Asking price was $12, I bought it for $10 plus $5 shipping. I overhauled the camera myself; it is now fully functional at no cost other than that of a little Ronsonol and a few Q-tips.
Here's the proof it works:
I hope to have my other entry, a Rolleiflex 621, ready to go in time, but if not this will at least get me in the running.

Entry #2

Yashica Electro 35 G (Gold Mecanica) by Greyscale3, on Flickr
Bought for $12 at a local thrift store. A 4SR44 battery that I had on hand and a little wad of tinfoil, and she was ready to shoot.

An Electro 35 for less than $40 and no POD? You did strike lucky there.

No POD, it makes the most satisfying "clunk", and it obviously has had the light seals replaced fairly recently.
Also came with ERC, hard case, and a Vivitar 2800 flash.

Shut up now, so I don't have to start hating you.

OK here is my entry. I won the auction for this Ansco Autoset RF and another camera for right at 27 bucks shipping included. I emailed the seller and said just send the Ansco! It came with a case and I already had a Goodman kit for a Hi Matic. The image is from this camera and cheapo deapo Fuji 200 film. I don't have a screen cap program so I had to copy and paste the Ebay information. Excellent mint condition BTW. An excellent buy by any measure! So here you go the 27 dollar space camera...

Going to be a little bit before I can get pictures back, it takes 127 film and I don't have any! Should be interesting. Film already ordered.
