The silvernose Oly 50/1.4 was a special lens. I bought an OM-1 in 2001 with that lens and proceeded to use it and only it until I ditched film (temporarily it turned out) in 2011. I miss that lens, but am afraid if I bought a replacement now the magic wouldn't return.

Nowadays I shoot Canon and have 50/1.4 lenses in FL, nFD, and LTM mounts. I'm traveling, but will post pics when I return home.

Hmm. Interesting...

My fastest 50mm lenses are the Summicron-M 50 (current version) and Summicron-R 50 (1965, type 1) both f/2, so I'm out of the ballpark on those.

My fastest normal lens is the Summilux 25/1.4 ASPH for Micro-FourThirds format ... Would that qualify?

Of course, many consider the 35mm their normal lens, and I have a Summilux 35mm f/1.4 type 2 for Leica M ... but that's not a 50mm equivalent on anything but APS-C, and I don't have any APS-C ILC at this point... 🙂

Maybe I should create a thread for users of the SMC-Pentax-L 43mm f/1.9 Special ... the true 35mm format normal ... eh? 🤣
