This camera ain't no magic bullet. I'll still be able to make crap photos!

501cm and CFE 80mm T*. I can't blame the hardware.

Thanks! Good chuckle and inspiration. The 501 is a Tweener Camera for me. Between the 4x5s, 6x7s & 35mm.

Strike "6x7" from your coment, Wayne and you'll be 100% accurate.

The Hurrier I go...
The Hurrier I go...
But I have a Pentax 6x7.
I'm going as fast as I can. The roll is half finished. I'll finish it on my way home from work. With luck, I'll have scanned negatives at a reasonable hour this evening and posted tomorrow.
I also need to run a sheet of film through the Linhof Technika V that came with the 501. My cup runeth over.
I haven't kept track of all the letters assinged to Zeiss lenses. Apparently the CFE T* is the latest version of the venerable 80mm Planar. Way better then I ever imagined using.

I think Hasselblad have run out of CFE parts : the latest 80mm lenses have been downgraded to CFi ( i.e. 202/3/5 metering contacts removed ).

For many of us that removal of un-necessary parts is actually an upgrade!

And I always wonder if older lenses aren't better. It's nice to have an assortment. Some new. Some old. Some ancient.

Yep. Ain't it the truth. I was thinking about that this morning. I'm not much of a Blogger. I need to pay attention to the Blog.
"A Year with Bigfoot, Bubba.....and the Swede!" ... and the Technika V that followed me home the same night the Hasselblad entered my world. funny how stuff works out.
AAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I "finished" off the first roll in the 'blad on the way home yesterday. Opened the magazine. YIKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Backing paper torn at the tape holding the film. Nothing. I got Zip. Squat. Zero. Bummer! My only roll of Plus-X on hand too. Thanks to folks here, I have seen the video explaining loading film. I put my only roll of Delta 400 in the magazine. No great loss there if I botch film loading again. If I have bothced this again, I'm finding Todd for hands on instructions.
Stay tuned. "A Year with Bigfoot, Bubba, The Swedish Babe and the Texas Leica."
