outstanding shot Chris!

Todd

Thanks very much Todd! This is with the 50 Distagon you inspired me to acquire - it's ideal for this application with so many people crowding the subjects.

I spent a couple of hours on Sunday walking around a local "German Autofest" admiring the Mercedes, Audi, VW and Porsche, cradling the Hassy with the 50 Distagon and a bellows shade on the front. My outfit got plenty of attention and people gave me plenty of space when I was lining up a shot! Pretty handy!

Wayne - your shots are getting better and better - I think you and the square format are a good fit! And I really like the presentation you've made with the Winnsborough photos - really well done! Cheers!

Thanks!

Thanks!

Thank you so much. I really appreciate your kind words.

Chris, is the bellows shade hard to handle off the tripod? I see them at KEH for almost the same price as a metal bayonet shade.

Cheers!

I've become quite fond of the camera. I guess now I need to find a way to pay for it. Sell a Leica? Sell a kidney? :D I've heard you can get along nicely with just 1 kidney.

Ha! I'd keep the kidney for now. You never know when you might need a digital back for the 501.

I bought the bellows from KEH myself because of the good price. On the camera it doesn't effect the handling very much as there is still plenty of room to cradle the camera without touching the bellows, especially with the 50 and the 150. Its a little awkward off the camera as I bought the cheapest one and the slide doesn't fold against the collapsed bellows, but it manage to sit ok in the top of my camera backpack. I like the fact I can use it with all my three lenses; the 50, 80 and 150. And it terms of shading the lens it's excellent - I think it really helps with the older (non-T*) lenses.

Tommorrow?

Tommorrow?

get those Ektar negs back in yet Wayne?

I will check tomorrow. They haven't called me. They should be in this week. I'm not expecting much. I accidentally turned my meter dial and severely overexposed half the roll.
