Thank you for your concerns.
I'm uptown, but yesterday I ran into my friend Mike who lives in my building and is a fashion photographer. Evidently Mike has some friends who were there riding just 15 minutes before the attack.
Sadly seven out of the eight dead were guests to NYC: five were long term friends from Argentina; one from Germany; and lastly Belgium.
Here in NYC we are an open city where 200 languages are spoken. I hope that the world knows that we understand the loss and grief of others, and that we are displaying courage by not allowing fear to curtail our thoughts and our lives.
The Halloween Parade went on as usual, and the NYC Marathon will go on as scheduled this Sunday.
To those who suffered loss, know that we stand with you and are both disturbed and saddened for your loss.
Tears...
