The Official RFF FIFA World Cup 2010 Thread

Yep, the Uru goalkeeper os having an awful night & it's nice to hear Suarez being given the bird every time he touches the ball.

I'm sort of watching. We're having violent thunderstorms here, the main telly is in a room with glass in the roof and I can't hear the commentary. 2-2 at the minute. Come ON blues!! :D

paul was right again.

except for Forlán, Germany was way ahead of Uruguay, even if the result doesn't really reflect that.
I liked the Boos for Suárez too :D and Forlán really was one of the few who kept the level of set pieces up and dangerous. good man.

From a spectator's point of view, a very entertaining game. Hats off to both teams for playing wide open football.

german defense seemed a little unmotivated at times. and some attacks were given away because they tried too hard to make Müller score instead of anybody else :D

you know, before the game I said to myself - I want 3-3 then extra time and 5-5 and then penalties... And it turned out so close, if only the last shot of Forlan was a bit lower...

Aaaaargh! We had a visitor and just got back to the telly to see the result... Well done to Germany, sounds like Muslera had a shocker... Too bad.

Just by chance, what had foreseen the polyp for this match? I saw Uru supporters joking with it but in the end they were the ones burned...

Vielen Grussen to Germany! We could have won, but those two errors in defense were just too much. I believe this was the best match so far in the tournament.

A huge reception is being prepared in Montevideo for the team, next Monday evening. Maybe I can get some images of it. :D

If they did Knighthoods in Uru it would soon be Sir Diego Forlan.

A first class footballer and sportsman who even managed an ironic smile when his last minute effort hit the bar. What a man, what a great team.

I heard it said that Uruguay has a smaller population than Berlin. That says alot.

Well, I missed the last 30 minutes to geocache with my wife. Congratulations to Germany, and kudos to Uruguay, too. Forlan remains my favorite player of the cup - at least until tomorrow's match is over ...

A very quick note at the end of the first 2 halves.
I think it's a very "nervous" game and to be honest I don't like that much how Netherlands is playing right now, a bit too "unfair", and this is really something that disappoints me. I do see that it's a final of a World Cup, yet Spain seems to keep a fairer behaviour on the field.

yes, it will be shame if Spain loses on penalties...

oh my god, both teams don't really deserve to be called world champion after that game. sooo disappointed :(
