How about your thoughts? I have been looking over all the special edition Nikon cameras and so far I am thinking the Nikon Fm2n Lapita is my choice:

Yes I would say sexiest = Black F2 with DE-1, or F3HP without the red stripe. When I have to go back to shooting 35mm, my SLR will probably be a F3HP releathered and a Voigtlander 40/2.

Doesn't matter though, they all take great pictures!

What's a Lapita? I can't find it in Braczko, nor in the Nikon Compendium.

Sexiest Nikon? A black FA with MD-15 motor, or an F3 with its motor, plus a 15mm f/3.5 Nikkor.

One of a special edition of 200 units...see image posted above. Nikon used to issue a lot of special editions but seem to have gotten away from that in recent years.

Orange is my favorite color. That is one butt ugly camera. 🙂

I really have never thought of any Nikon camera as being attractive, perhaps the rangefinders, but I like Contax bodies better. I have always seen Nikons as the Mack Truck tool, not Ferrari of photography.

It is actually brown, not orange. Not the best color photo. Similar to cameraleather mahogany, I suppose.

In my opinion - the sexiest Nikon SLR is the F with a prism finder, a bit brassy and battered. It was the camera that got many of us away (at least temporarily) from rangefinders. It allowed us to do macro. long lens shooting and some ultra-wides. Built like the proverbial brick outhouse. Virtually indestructible and quite easy to fix, if you did attempt to destroy it!
You could add anything you needed, screens, finders, motors etc - or just remove what you did not need, down to basic "box" - and keep on shooting.

Sexiest? Why that would be my Nikon F's, one with a waist level finder and one with a Photomic...(BTW, the Photomic one belonged to Brian Sweeney at one time 😉 )

What is "sexiest" 🙄 ? The most elegant and timeless design is the original Nikon F with plain prism.. Then comes the F3HP..

Yes, I agree.
