Wonderful series of Portraits Margus...love the Light, the texture & tones

I just got the dp2s / sigma refurbrished complete
Quite Pleased with it, love the wheel for zone street shooting
 
These are beautiful images, and convinced me to buy in.
I just ordered a DP2M online for$799, and should be here Monday !!
What have most people found to be the best RAW converter for the DP2M files ?

There's no options there really ... SPP. There is a converter available that only works with Mac out there somewhere but I have to say I'm pretty impressed with Sigma's default software.

Compared to the disaster that Fuji supplies with it's X series cameras it's a revelation. 😀

I'm looking forward to testing it out soon. Unfortunately, I've heard of frequent software "crashes" with SPP on the Mac.

With the DP2M and the Sirui T-025X, I should be all set for some exciting times...🙂

Enjoy ... and don't forget it's not always instant 'love' with these little Sigmas! 😀
 
I've always been suspicious of "Instant love"- of any kins (LOL)

BTW, the 'other' RAW developer for X3F files is Iridient. Just downloaded and installed it on my Mac. Amazingly, nothing crashed, and it even opens 'converted to DNG ' files !! (Could THIS be instant love ?)

I've been using SPP on mac, mountain lion x, without any crashes. Sure, it's a slow program, but I tend to make as few edits as possible, export as 16 bit TIFF, and then edit further in Lightroom.

The only time I have had crashes using spp is when a batch convert more than 16 raw files to tiff. I think the program as a memory leak. I am using Lion w/ 16gb of memory and the raw files are stored on external FireWire HD.
