thinking of getting the 27...

X-e1 & 27 is one of my favorite combos - small & light, its what I grab whenever I'm not sure if I want to bother with a camera, and no one pays it any mind.

With the package deals Fuji has running. I expect we will see a lot of fresh lenses up for sale.
Folks buying the xpro1/35/27 package for example and unloading the 27 or 35 as they really are too close to each other to make sense as a "kit" (40 and 50mm eqv).

I'm hoping to get the 27mm to put on an XA1.
I've grown very fond of the XA1. There is a simplicity to the camera that makes it great as an everyday carry.
Has wi-fi. Simple Bayer files. Battery lasts about 50% longer than the XE1 and best of all... Face detection AF that actually works like a champ!

Good luck with the 27mm Joe. I hope it fits youy right this time around!

Fuji Canada runs some nice deals. It seems like the deals in the US are always geared towards inventory reduction and getting buyers to buy packages of things they don't need to get a good price.
$299 new....Man with the exchange rate as it is, it's almost worth it to go have lunch in Van and buy a new 27mm on the way home 😛

To bad Lunch in Van would cost almost as much 😱

maybe just stop for coffee...

i am really liking my xe2...seems smoother/quicker than the xe1...

Does it? I've been wondering.

Anything else to note for a current XE1 user?
It's been tempting to maybe "upgrade" to an XE2 or TX1 for my 18-55 and manual focus lens camera.
Is the EVF actually visually improved?

I understand they only improved the refresh rate not the actual solution.
I keep looking through my XE1 while manually focussing in Peak mode.
It's hard to tell which is fuzzing things up. The resolution, poor refresh rate of the evf, or poor refresh rate of my vision?? Maybe it's all of those.

shutter sounds different
the evf is smoother, markedly so
af is quicker ( and will get quicker yet with upcoming firmware...i hope)
