Canada, eh.
Same sensor as x20 in a very compact package. Have to chance to pick one up used in LN condition tomorrow for $110 Cdn.

Looks good on paper for the type of camera it is. One that can always be in your pocket.

Anyone have one?

No opinion, but for that amount I think it's a safe buy. I'd be surprised if you couldn't sell it on if you didn't take to it.

It's the kind of camera I would use a digital sketch book if nothing else, taking notes of locations/scenes I would want to come back to.

If it helps, I had the x20 for a while.
It was great for what it was. Killer ergonomics. Good iq.... But boring.
Images not good enough to justify the carry of a "real" camera.
May as well use a smartphone .

The zoom is tempting but the x100 models are even more tempting.
The Lumix LX100 is the most attractive zoom compact... Check that baby out Frank 🙂

Oh, I will. But there are times, just yesterday in fact, when I was puttering around fixing a gate in the yard when the xm1/27 with neckstrap over one shoulder, kept getting in the way. This xq1 will fit unobtrusively in a pocket. What I'm trying to say is that sometimes even the xm1 is too big.

I wouldn't bother with a sensor smaller than 1", you might as well stick with a smartphone. The Sony RX100 series and the Canon G7X or G9X have one, and decent image quality and are the bare minimum, but of course you aren't going to get one for $110. So is the Ricoh GR. LX100 is too large to be pocketable, but then again I keep a Sony RX1 or a Fuji X100S as my everyday-carry.

I have one Frank. Bought it from Fuji UK refurb about four months back. Carry it everyday and it has replaced my GR to some extent purely for its size. The GR is better though. Liking the High Dynamic mode for some colour shots. The wide 25mm lens is handy. Nice size for your pocket. I'm gonna be celebrating my 35th wedding anniversary this weekend and as I'll be suited and booted the tiny Fuji is the one I'll have with me.
Over the four months of owning it I've never felt like it's not good enough, whether I'm shooting parties, street or touristy shots. Yes I have cameras with better, bigger sensors but this is the one that's handier. I've only printed small prints from it so far but they were fine.

I think the Q1 is spot on. I had an X20 while traveling in Israel last year. It performed wonderfully. I was very pleased. (My other rig was an M6). So the Q1 would be a nice "always with you" camera. IMHO.
