Three days in a monastery

I have just returned home after spending three days in a monastery with two monks. Here is a first draft. What do you think? The plan is returning there over time and trying to find something deeper to tell.

Well you have certainly captured the austerity well. No one can be in any doubt that the monks do not lead the life of the rich and famous.

I get a strong feeling from the images you've chosen.
A deeply joyless place.
Even the few leaves of the plant in the first image look imprisoned.
Thought provoking ...no doubt.

There's a monastery in New Mexico I visit for a weekend every few years just to clear my mind. They allow guests. It is a different world.
