Time for me to buy a scanner

I have a Canon 8600 that only does 135 and 120. For 135 it really is a little bit stretched, and for looking at the image and making a pre-selection it is good for judgeing composition and maybe colors, but I would not use it for sharpness. As soon as you go to 120, things start to look better. I also got a Heidelberg Ultra II flatbad, that has a huge scan area - I think it could go up to 8x10. It is however limited to 1200 dpi, but for LF it is good enugh for me. For the smaller formats, I think you either go to something like a Nikon 9000 / 8000 or some older Minolta that can handle both, or stick to a flat bed for 120 also but get a dedicated 135 scanner.

Regards,
Stefan
