Too many TLRs?

I now have twin 2.8E's, both of similar vintage. One of them has a working (as much as any meter from that vintage camera can work) meter, the other one appears to be toast, although it may be a matter of a linkage disconnected. The second E will be getting shipped off for overhaul soon enough. I'll have it back in time for my annual vacation, so I'll be able to shoot either color and b/w simultaneously or else one of them will live with the Rolleinar always attached for doing close-up portraits.

I added some information to this thread about prodding the selenium meter of my Tele Rollei back into life. AFAIK it is exactly the same uncoupled meter fitted to some of the E models (it has the low/high light switch etc).

If you feel its accuracy could be improved, and you're a bit of a DIYer, you may be able to improve its performance by referring to my comments. Basically, the trick is to eliminate any points of excessive resistance to electrical current, as the cells output is not great and hence the meter performance will be adversely affected by corrosion deposits etc.
Regards,
Brett

Only one. A Beautyflex D. Hoping to add another one soon. I love the 6x6 format. Maybe a Yashica Mat 124? That's a pretty good TLR for the price, right?

You guys have too many, you may keep two, send the rest to me.

More seriously, I have five Yashicamats. One working, one needing a minor repair, and 3 parts cameras I bought from one of the guys on this list. One of them is supposed to be all there, I suppose I should try to put it back together.

Richoflex IIII (not IV) very light weight, works fine.
Yashica Mat-124G, works fine.
Tower Reflex by Aires with Nikkor lenses and lever wind, controls very stiff.
Ricohmatic 225 shutter cocking and release do not work.
Had a Baby Rolleiflex for Super Slides that I loved. Was at a repair shop that went out of business, and now it is gone forever :(

Yashica A
Yashicamat with the Luxamar lens (needs a CLA)
Rolleicord Va
Rolleiflex Automat (film sensor needs adjustment)
Flexaret Va
Yashicamat

I was going to send the first Yashicamat to Mark Hama to fix the jammed shutter but I found another one in like-new conditon for $50.

I am still thinking about sending the Rolleiflex Automat to Krimar to have the film-start sensor fixed. The focus magnifier on this camera is very small which makes it hard to focus even with the Oleson screen. When I have four other cameras which are easy to use and work very well, however, it's hard to justify the expense.

mamiya has c220s? i thought the last c2 series is c220f... mamiya only got c330s?

Sorry for the lack of clarity -- that's a plural. I have 2 x C220. And, since this thread has popped back up again, I will update the roster: I've added a rough and ready 3.5F Planar, and two beautiful MX-EVS Rolleiflexes, one with Tessar and one with Xenar.

Too many TLRs?

Too many?!?!? Good God, man! That is crazy talk!! :D:D

Someone must care for these magnificent metal beasts. Better they are looked after by someone who appreciates them than sitting on a camera store shelf or in the bottom of someone's closet.

So many gorgeous TLRs in this thread! I am envious of you all and your wonderful sexy cameras! :D

I own three. A CLA-desperate/broken Yashica Mat 124G (anyone recommend a place to get it fixed that isn't Mark Hama and is reliable?), a Lomo Lubitel 166U and a Ricohflex VII (waiting for it to arrive).

One for me - a Rolleiflex 2.8 E2. The shutter sticks, so I sent it out to Harry Fleenor a few weeks back. Hopefully he'll be able to get it up and running, especially now that I started developing my own film again.
