Top 3 cameras for less than £100

From my shelves...

Olympus OM2N + 50mm f/1.4 G. Zuiko; Pentax MX + 50mm f/1.7 SMC-M; and Walz Automat.

Honourable mention goes to my Nikon F4S (an £89 body) and F3HP (£99, I think?) as they just snuck in body-only, and to the Olympus Trip 35 which is a great little camera but better suited to daylight use.

Olympus 35RC, Canon A-1 with 1.4 SC FD.
All others I have are well above 100 quid. I'd love to put here my Oly OM-10, but I haven't taken it out for a walk yet.

From my personal observation...

Nikomat FTn
Canon Ftbn
Canon IVF

I don't think that I have ever spent more than $60 for a camera body. As far as 35mm goes, I have not yet had a reason to, bargains await the patient.
Some of my favorite cameras have been purchased for less than $5.

Top three: Olympus OM10; Rollei 35B; Vitomatic IIa.
One that would be in the top three but very narrowly misses your price limit: Rolleiflex Automat.
Worst? Easy. That would be a Zorki. Great camera but lord knows how the previous owner had stored it because it stank to high heaven. In the end I gave it to a student I'd supervised as he was into photography and vintage cameras. I hope he has forgiven me. It really did smell.

I just picked up a very good condition OM1 with a 70 - 210 zoom for £36. I added a boxed 50 1.8 for £27.50. I picked up an OM 2 and OM2SP for less that £100 each with 50s attached. There is lots of choice below £100.

Rumor has it that some Russian cameras stink because they used whale oil for lubrication.

Yashica Lynx 1000 (below $100 for sure, I inherited mine though)
Vivitar Ultra Wide & Slim (paid 10 quid)
Lomo LC-A (paid 50 quid)
Agfa Isolette
OM1/2 with 50/1.4

Nikon FM
Yashica Mat 124
Olympus Mju-II (bought one today with a full battery for 1 Euro!)

All the bases covered, a dependable, flexible 35mm SLR, a relatively compact MF camera with a stellar lens and the best P&S the world has ever seen.

And yes, no rangefinder in that list. Canonet QL17 GIII was more trouble than it was worth.
