According to Flickr, I have over 250 tractor photos. I picked three that might be interesting.

This one was shot on a Pentax 17 with Ultramax 400:

You never know what you’ll run across. Back around 1975 I was driving the back roads near my home and ran across an old guy who had two steam tractors in his yard and two steam locomotives with track running around his property.

No they were in Blount County Tn in the mid 70’s. The owner passed away not long after I made the images and his wife sold everything including his two locomotives. Unfortunately I have no idea where they wound up.

Thanks x-ray. The reason I asked was because there was a man in Willits around the same
time, who had done the same thing including laying track around his property. He also had
a couple of locomotives and quite possibly a few old steam tractors as well.

BTW, I also have a Rolleiflex MX-EVS with a Tessar. It's the first version, made in 1954.
It is a wonderful camera.

Steam’s an addiction for some old guys. A friends wife’s father had track and a steam locomotive around his property until he passed. That was in the 70’s but have no idea where it wound up. It’s probably pulling tourists somewhere but that’s better than sitting in a field rusting away.

I picked up that MX in the late 60’s and sold or traded it in the mid 70’s. I’ve been through several 2.8D’s and 3.5 E’s but now have a 3.5F Planar I picked up for $75 in an antique shop many years ago. I put some $ in it and it looks and runs like new and is my go to camera most of the time.
