Trade in Leica Film Gear for MM Silver?

@Kevin,
Given your health circumstances, I can certainly see the wisdom in trading for the M-M. The most important thing of all is taking care of your health, extending your life and enhancing your quality of life. Next is to keep making photographs. If I were in your shoes, I would be inclined to avoid the chemical exposure (both airborne and skin contact) that comes with developing and printing.

Since analog developing and printing is not advisable given your situation, acquiring the M Monochrom seems to be an obvious solution.

Kevin best of luck with your cancer. I went through treatment last year into this year and learned in February I'm cancer free. I have a much better appreciation of what you're going through now. It's certainly no fun and a little pampering of yourself helps a great deal.

Keep your chin up and do as your Dr say. Get well soon and make great images.

Thanks evryone. No sign of cancer on my PET scan from the end of February. I did kick the cancer, I have to continue with my lifestyle change and all my supplemets. I dont want to ever have chemo again.

That's fantastic! There's no feeling in the world like getting the good news.

Did you get the MM? Just curious.

Thanks x-ray. It sold before i could pick it up. I will get one in the next month or so. Gow are you feeling now after your cancer?

Some nerve damage and inflammation from radiation. Overall I'm doing quite well. I have no complaint. Hope you're recovering quickly.

The people I've known that have lived the longest and happiest have been people that have something they love that makes them get up every morning. A purpose and reason to live is essential. I've known quite a few people make it into their late 90's up to 106. Each had a passion they were driven by. One was the second highest time pilot in history. She was an FAA examiner, flight instructor and managed an airport. She flew till she was 96 and lost a leg in a car wreck then continued to manage the airport till she was 101. Evelyn Johnson retired at 101 and lived past her 102nd birthday.

Just a week ago I worked with an old woman that is 101 and has been a concert pianist 82 years. She was performing when I photographed her playing any tune ou could throw at her from pop to classical, all from memory. I watched her play for two hours playing with emotion and never missing a note.

Another woman I worked with was 106 and still played the organ for her church.

A photographer friend made it to 102 and worked every day and lived by himself. He complained of his eyesight because he had to wear a loupe to make a tiny screw for a shutter on his jewelers lathe.

They each have or had a purpose. Photography seems like a great one to me.

Doing much better starting to feel like myself. I get up everyday with purpose & have worked almost dailiy during my cancer battle.
