Hi all, any recommendations on someone who'd be able to translate a repair manual for CZJ Werra cameras from German to English?

The WerraGroup on Yahoo has a service document, but it's in German. It's apparently too technical to be translated by someone without a decent knowledge of camera repair.

I'd like to fix the vertical rangefinder alignment on my Werramatic, and this appears to be a good resource, but they've been stymied by the translation.

Failing that, does anyone have any experience reparing Werras (or know of a good place for a CLA)?

Cheers,

Alex

Alex, post a digital photo of the camera with the top removed. I just made this adjustment on a Werra 3, but I can't recall which was the vertical. It was fairly simple.

The construction of the Werra is unlike most other cameras. Not impossible -- just different.

Roland, I'll check with the group to see about the length.

Mike, I've only had the camera for a day, and haven't had a chance to pop the top off (or even figure out how to do so!) Any pointers? Once I get it off I'll post a pic...

It's a neat camera; really original design and styling.

You see those two screws with the nuts around them? Those will be for calibrating the rangefinder. I believe you'll need to loosen the nuts slightly, make your adjustment, retighten and then check calibration.

Make sure you check calibration after replacing the top cover. With two Werras, I found that rangefinder calibration shifted slightly when I reassembled the top cover.
