Tri-X pushed to 1600

Hey friends.
I just got back from a concert where I shot a roll of tri-x exposing for 1600...
I was going for 800 but the light was soooo low that I was shooting f/2 f/2.8 on 1/30 and 1/60. I didn't take my Lux 80mm 1.4 or 50 1.4 cause I went there straight from the street :bang:
However, I am not experience so it will be my first time pushing film so much and unfortunately I am very limited on developer. What I have is Ilfosol 3 (1+9) and Ilfotec LC29 (1+19).
I was thinking to develop it with the Ilfosol 3 for 16 minutes...
Any thoughts and tips greatly appreciated and it will help my learning curve (hopefully) as well 😀

Doing this without tests is never a good idea, but I would perhaps try Ilfosol S at 1+19 or 1+29 and stand develop it for a very long time (2.5 times your normal time with that developer at that dilution). This will give you as close to 1600 as you are ever going to get.

If you haven't already started, shoot another quick roll at 1600 and try it at the time you've already determined. Then do the good roll with adjustments in time if necessary.

I'll second the advice to shoot a test roll to determine processing before you run your film from this shoot. I have had very good results from pushing Tri-X to 1600 in Microphen (for 1600 I use straight, undiluted Microphen at 70 degrees F for 13 minutes with normal agitation).

Also, lately I've been experimenting with dividing longer developing times with fresh batches of developer, and getting very encouraging results for pushing. Tri-X shot at 1600 gets 10 minutes in fresh HC-110 (dilution H), then another 10 minutes in a fresh batch of the same soup. Results have been really good- I've even done a third run (for a total of 30 minutes in the developer!) giving good results for pushing Tri-X to 3200. Very interesting stuff- but again, start out testing with unimportant test rolls shot in similar light before you process your good film.
