I understand that money orders drawn from Can. banks take that clearing time. I understand that U.S. partners of Can. banks will also take that clearing time.
I am very curious to know if anyone in America has received a Canada Post money order in U.S. funds and been able to cash it without the wait?
They are very safe and legal; however, they might look very odd to an American Bank, I don't know and that is my question. 🙂

Both times I have sent funds out of my home country have been to Canada. I sent them as international money orders that I purchased from my local post office and were supplied by Australia Post. ONe was to Joe (back alley) and he had no problem cashing it in. The other was to a eBay seller for my Kiev 88 TTL and he had zero problems as well. Half way around the world and my transactions have had far less problems that just over the border..... go figure.
