Several times...
Just last week I was in Los Angeles and came across a Sax player on the street...I was taking a few shots of him when he tipped his head towards his "Tip" cup...I motioned back that I had no "spare change"...he then told me not to photograph him...I took a few more shots before moving on...
I've been confronted by store owners for pointing my camera at their front window...
I was asked by film crew members not to photograph the "Talent"...twice...while they were shooting on location...
It's happened too many times...😀

In. Today at the Pride Parade, a person was on the ground I think of a drug overdose, with several medics surrounding him. I went to get a shot of the medic putting an IV in, and a women blocked my lens with her paper saying she represented Patient's rights and that what i was doing was Immoral. Needless to say we had a few words

Maybe it was a recent party when Andreas Serrano came to Phoenix for a lecture. I sat with hime for a bit, and talked about how he got the blood and stuff for his fluids series. (Turned out it was his butcher.)
I know it was wrong, but my girlfriend and I saw him on the Colbert Report a while back. Actually she saw it, and saved it for me as she knew I admired his work. When she learned I was gonna crash the lecture's after party, she said I should ask him what it was like to be on Colbert (knowing I wouldn't!)
So when it was time for Serrano to leave the party (he was flying back to NYC at 6:30 in the morning) I quickly said, "One more question - what was it like to be on Colbert?" I half expected a smart aleck remark, or no answer at all. But Serrano is such a sweet guy he told me! And went on until his host said they had to leave then.

the medic is a health professional bound by HIPPA rules. If you don't have a release from the patient, you don't have any business there. Get away and let the medics help the poor guy unobstructed.

I had to think a lot about this one, I couldn't remember anything. The only one I could remember was this: I had a roll of film ready to pick up at the lab. One of my friends had to pick up some film from the same lab himself, so I asked him to pick up my photos too. He opened the envelope and looked at the photos, and saw some pretty suggestive photos of my ex, which happened to be the sister of one of his best friends. He only said: So, umm, you're dating X's sister? 😱
