Twitter is the most useful thing I've found in a long time. Yep, _useful_. I've been on it since it was still missing an "e" and I keep finding more and better reasons to be there.
It's all in who you follow. I learn something useful every day, even when only dipping in occasionally. I can get instant advice on nearly any topic. I've bought and sold gear, just by mentioning a need.
I get breaking news sooner than by any other source. I get personal support from large and small companies just by mentioning a problem I'm having.
I've heard the case of someone casually mentioning that they are "going to get some coffee" as an example of what's wrong with twitter. But I've found new local coffee shops and restaurants as well as places to order good coffee online and discovered a terrific espresso machine - all based on a conversation started by someone simply mentioning they were going to get a coffee.
I find Twitter to be terrific.
