Our decaying landmark ...

Wow the pier really has decayed in the 14 and a bit years since I lived in Brighton! Didn't realise it was in quite so bad condition. Shame. Can't see how they can even think of renovating it now - a complete rebuild would be needed! 😕

Yes, well, some tw*t setting fire to it a couple of years ago didn't help - the fire brigade could only watch it burn since they couldn't reach it!

Personally, I think they should get rid of the remnants (even the Trust in charge of renovation have officially given up now, I believe) and build something really funky and modern in its stead.
