Interesting.

When I think of the A bombs I think back to two uncles wounded in the Pacific theatre, one was shot in the head who could never function afterward - although he just died a few years ago. My wife lost her only uncle in her mom's family in WWII on a nameless Pacific atoll fighting the Japense.

So I like the photos too, perhaps for a different reason than others.

But they are striking photos nonetheless and it is fortunate they were recovered.

Well the article credits the International Center for Photography for the photos, so they must have bought them from the diner owner. Perhaps they are trying to acquire the other pieces as well.

... and to think that I may have the camera that was used to take photos of Hirsohima and Nakasaki before the bombing!

This is an awesome find with possibly historical impact. It should go to a museum and a book should be published so that people can always see what it meant to vaporize and burn human beings.
