I disabled the focus from my XT-2's shutter button and use BBF exclusively to focus (actually in my case it is FBF -- I use the front button to focus). I would like to be able to keep the same setting when using a wired remote shutter release. I am shooting AFS in focus priority.
However, when I use the remote (with the above setting), it just trips the shutter without focusing; i.e, the same behavior as release priority.
Re-enabling the AF focus on the shutter allows the remote to work as expected -- focus first then trip the shutter.
I know it is just an incredibly minor inconvenience, but is there a way to have the remote focus and trip the shutter even when the shutter button AF focus is disabled via the menu?
