Using SLR wide angle lenses on RF cameras

Yes, that Canon N adapter is expensive. I paid $175 for mine, from Newtonville Camera if I remember correctly, then a month later I saw another one somewhere else for $100! I've been using my FD 17mm and my Nikkor 20mm on the Bessa-L, with hyperfocal focusing. Far more affordable than the same focal lengths in native screw mount. Now I just need a complete collection of Cosina viewfinders up to 35mm!

I would not let the weight of the lens hang from the mount of something like a Bessa-L (haha). Something like a new Canon FD 28mm F2.8 would be OK, but one of those old circular Nikkor fisheyes would dwarf that little camera - if I could even afford one.

That was not too high for the N Adapter. It allows you to use Nikkor lenses on FD bodies. This is a very useful adapter. I wish I had it.
 
I think Canon's other adapters are relatively cheap and easy to find. I bought the B and P (for Pentax) for about $25 apiece. So now I can look around for old Pentax screwmount wide-angles to use on the F-1 and the Bessa.
Was there ever an adapter to mount Contax/Yashica lenses on an FD, made by Canon or anybody else? I would love to find something like that.

Canon Adapter B often sells for $75, so you got your for a low price. Yes, there exists an adapter for Yashica lenses, but I forgot which camera mount it was for.
 
I think that the Minolta 21mm 4.5 came before the 21mm 4.0 unlike what is mentioned in the CameraQuest write-up in the second link given in previous posting.

I'm still in the process of getting a self-made Nikkor-M adapter into specs. Want to use a Sigma 17-35mm zoom on that, so I don't have to carry the extra body. But will definitely switch to a Heliar 15mm in the near future, preferably used on the M5 for true wide angle.
