I have an M8 & use the UV/Ir cut filters. I don't want to have to take them off my lens when I swap to my B&W film M. If I leave them on the lens & shoot B&W film will I see any noticeable difference in my film images?

Thanks in advance.

The UV/IR cut filters do vignette when used on wide lenses, pretty strongly from 28mm on. This is worse on colour (where the effect shows up as a green-to-magenta colour shift), but the light falloff is also visible on black and white.

Using a M8 along with a film camera will slightly increase the risk of it happening due to the format difference (which has lenses upward of 24mm unaffected on the M8). You'll have to go by focal length and experience - the M8 preview won't tell what is happening to your edges on film...
