Hi,
I think my trusty Canoscan 8800F just lost the backlight so I can't scan film.
I know this is question 1000 +1 about the Epson V700 vs V750 scanner.
Since I don't care about the Silverfast software or fluid mount I think the V700 would be the best choice for me.
HOWEVER:
I read that the V750 has adjustable focus and the V700 does not. This would be a mayor argument for me to spend the $250 extra on the V750...
QUESTION:
Is the "adjustable focus" just the holder that can be adjusted in hight or the lens that can be focussed???
Also do the coated optics really make a difference?
Planning on getting Betterscanning holders regardless.

It is and it is the same for V700 and V750.
Also do the coated optics really make a difference?
I have never seen a difference in the scans.

False Alarm. Turns out I needed to update the Canon and Vuescan software.
Still have a case off GAS for a new scanner. A specially scanning frame by frame 35mm with the Plustek gets old...
