I asked this on another forum but wanted to reach out to a wider group of 'vintage' equipment users.
I just received a very nice Leitz Valoy II enlarger, with a full frame negative carrier and green face 'manual', really more of a pamphlet and while I've read that this machine is very capable, I've also read that it can impart a distinctive look or 'feel' to photographs.
What insights, tips or advice can you pass on using the Valoy?
I'm hoping to get a conversation going here so if you have an opinion, please share it with the group.
This unit came with a Schneider Componon F4 50mm lens; how much of an impact will have on prints compared with the original lens?
Also, how collectable is the manual?
Cheers
