Just 'popped over' from the Yashica forum to ask a question.
I am keen on finding out the technical specs of the VCI and VCII meters. Is there a website I can go to please? Where would be a good place to purchase one from?

Peter,

Cameraquest as Scott suggests is a good place to look. B&H also has product specifications and descriptions (www.bhphotovideo.com).

VCI is a bit higher, VCII is lower in profile. Upside of VCI is it accepts both (2x) sr44/lr44 or the bigger CR 1/3 N battery. Downside of VCII is, due to its lower profile, it can only accept sr44/lr44 batteries.

The profile difference is not all that noticeable, but it is there.

Both are excellent meters, good luck.

I think the difference in height is pretty noticable & would rather pay extra for a VCII (which I did when I made the choice). Maybe this is just my impression, but especially when using a double shoe adapter & viewfinder the original VC meter looks & feels twice as big (which it is definitely not!). I guess to me buying a shoe-mounted meter is about size & I'd suggest going for the smallest one you can get.

Good luck with your choice...

Peter
