Vertical Shutter Release Stuck on Nikon F4s

One of my most used features on the my Nikon F4 is not quite right. The vertical shutter release is constantly focusing, and automatically fires when in focus. Is there an easy fix for this or someone in the Detroit area we trust to look at it quickly (Last time I send a camera to Nikon it took 6 months)?

I do not know much about fixing this, but thought I might mention that last time I was at Vermont Camera Works (repair and used stuff in Pittsford, VT), they still had a minty looking MB-21 on their bargain shelf for something around 20 bucks.
