Voightlander Vitoret came in mail today

I just received a new to me, Vitoret camera. It has the Color Lanthar 50/2.8 lens. The camera is in pristine condition, even the hard shell case is in really nice shape. All the speeds seme spot on. The three shutter speeds 30, 60, 125, + B will be a fun challenge to get a good exposure. I wonder what asa film was common for these cameras in their hay-day? I'm thinking of loading some 100 or 200 asa color film and taking it for a test run if it will ever quit raining around here. I'll try to post a pic later on. If anyone has this camera feel free to comment.

ASA 100/400 would be the appropriate speeds. Also, black and white was more common. There were even slower speeds available.

I just received a new to me, Vitoret camera. It has the Color Lanthar 50/2.8 lens.

It was my first camera around 1970. The Color Lanthar was a nice single coated triplet lens, which gave me great portraits of my younger brother. I used the then new Ilford FP4 black and white film. When I had extra cash, I bought a roll of HP4, which was more expensive, for interior shots. So many memories...

Steve I was thinking along the same line. I will probably run a roll of 200 through it. Abazz, thats good to know because one of the reasons I got the little camera was to shoot some street portraits for a project, & wanted to use a p&s instead of a rangefinder while still using a vintage camera.
