FANTASTIC Work on this Page

Wow Gabor, You make that little skopar SING !!

just as Good as the 21 SA... perhaps not retro in Look but certainly BIG in CHARACTER

I thought this came out alright.

This lens draws different from any other lens I have--I'm not sure what it is. Everything has a tendency to look kind of 'hyper-real'--something to do with the contrast. Not really sure how to articulate it.

Anyway, I still really like using it.

This is new Portra 400, and I've cropped it very slightly to tighten the composition. Representative FOV is probably about 23mm after the crop.

I expecting a CV 21/4 in S mount in the mail. Is it true that it does not do well on the Leica M9 (for M or LTM versions)?

Just received mine a few weeks ago after selling my 20mm Nikkor. Been having a blast, but struggling a bit with the RF/VF dance with kids running around... it gets easier when they slow down, as they did below!

Great little lens. I won't leave home without it!

Newport, OR. Highway 101 bridge over Yaquina Bay at near sunset.

Newport-1 by hollenbj, on Flickr

Shot this on FP4 developed in Rodinal, so grain is obvious. But, I'm happy with how this lens flares. The sun is behind the nearest bridge support. Almost gives a ghost/double look to the concrete work. Some might not like this but I do. Beats the blowout I'd get with lesser lenses.

I like this shot!
What are the children doing?

Killing a baby zebra; why, is that not common in your part of the world?

In seriousness, they are whacking a pinata, which is a cardboard box stuffed with candy and little prizes. It's a Central American tradition, but quite popular in the US as well.

For the size and money this lens is highly capable, however if you want technical perfection in a compact 21 you need the C Biogon (which is what I eventually traded up to).
