I am sorry to say... I found nothing remarkable about this lens, other than size.
The f4 is good enough because everything in focus anyway.
But no lens draw, per say.
Plus, on my Sony a7 it darkens the corners significantly.

I am sorry to say... I found nothing remarkable about this lens, other than size.

This lens is a film era optical design not optimized for digital sensors. The rear element sits very close to the sensor, so toward the corners the incoming light hits the sensor at too steep an angle to properly enter the pixel "buckets". So you need to use Cornerfix or similar software to fix the corners.

That's understandable.
I am referring to my usage of this lens on M6.
The phrase about Sony a7 was just an addition 🙂
It is very sharp, I'll admit that. That's all I see about this lens, and the examples only confirm it. I don't see any character, so to speak.
Just my opinion though.

Trying to get used to this lens

I bought the LTM version of the lens from Camera City, London. The viewfinder was a non-branded one and, I think it's a 15mm viewfinder (which I only realised when I got home!) Oh well, better than trying to get a shot from my R3A's 40mm view 🙂

So, here's one from my first roll with both my new Bessa R3A and Skopar 21mm. Shot with Kodak 400TX @ 1600 (because I thought I'd be trekking around London at night so pushed the film. I didn't).
