CV 35/2.5 great for groups

CV 35/2.5 great for groups

Terrific edge sharpness at all apertures. On some group shots I can count hairs on women's arms on the M9. Counting hairs on men doesn't count and isn't as much fun. Amazing that this puny lens does as well as any lens that I have.

This is fantastic, filmfan!

and a howdy to ishanm. nice to see somebody else post stuff from my area.

I was only in town for a very quick weekend - not nearly enough time for me to take all the pictures I would have liked to. I would have loved to have attended the beer festival that took place at SLOSS the day before I made it over. Just means that I need to make a trip back there :)

just picked up a new color skopar for its really nice rendering, light weight and compactness. guess the 35mm f1.2 is gonna be neglected for quite awhile...

Someone local was offering an LTM version of this lens for $250 last year which was just outside my budget at the time. I'm still kicking myself for not finding a way to buy one. :)

Lovely shots all.

I just picked one of these up in Shinjuku tonight for a wicked price with a lens hood included (Under $250 USD). Feel glad to have gone to that shop tonight, I doubt that lens was in the shop more than a few hours.

Sorry for entering this thread without any photos made with the 35mm Skopar. I'm thinking about buying one as cheap and compact second 35mm and I'm not sure, if there is a big difference between the first LTM- and the second M-version.

According to the specs the M-version is smaller and lighter, but how about sharpness and image quality. Has anyone here a good comparison of both versions? Thanks in advance:

There is no optical difference between the two versions, as far as I know… I'd take the M39-version, because it's cheaper and you can use it on LTM-cameras, as well as on M-cameras… :)

That's what I thought, but the dimensions are quite different, so I was not sure. The size would be an important part of the choice. I'd prefer the smaller one, if there i no optical difference.

With cheap I meant as a really cheap companion to a Summilux, so 50$ difference would not mean so much to me.

Thanks for the answer so far. Any additions about possible IQ differences? Also I'm not sure, if the PII has a focus tab. The image on the Voigtländer site does not show one. Any comments to that?

It's been a while since I've posted anything here, but here are some recently scanned ones.

Yesterday my new used Skopar LTM in silver arrived. It really is a tiny lens and I am very pleased with the image quality. The focus-"thingy" is really usable. Thanks for the useful comments here.

Little bump for the Skopar. What a sweet lens.
