This is about 15% of the negative! Neopan F (40 iso) and a Bessa R. This is with the first version of the Color Skopar 35f2.5 - the "pancake".

When I see sample shots of this lens (which I have, btw), I am always dissuaded from getting the 35/2 Asph 'Cron. The Skopar is just superb. My copy is the 'C' version, I think, the one with the OLLUX looking hood and that's just beautiful looking too.

That is why yesterday, I picked up another black paint M4 for just 157k yen. A 35/2 Asph would have cost me a lot more!

Thanks to jonmanjiro for putting me onto CV lenses. I am scared to go down this road, but so far I like this lens a lot.

I really like these last three pictures. Did you use filters ? I'd really like to scan some of my pictures, but I need to get hold of a scanner first...

One minor thing I don't like about this lens is the fact that it is SO small. I know some people are going to think I'm crazy, but my camera is so unbalanced and when I have camera around my neck its always leaning back being that my camera is so much heavier (M7).

I don't have the lens hood, does this add a little heft to the lens at all?

dennis, that backside tailslide photo is perfect.

i added a hood to my skopar and it felt (and looked) much more balanced while mounted on my M2. might serve the same purpose on your M7.

p.s. followed you on tumblr, looking forward to more of your work.
