I had a chance to handle one of these on Friday. It surely is a gorgeous piece of glass. Even if it photographed like the bottom of a Coke bottle I think I would be tempted to buy it just to fondle.

Depends how picky you are. Over at FM (in this thread starting around here) there has been some discussion and comparison of the E and M mount versions. It would appear the Sony version is better optimized for use on Sony cameras - better edge/corner performance at wider apertures.

LOL! Yes, I used the official overpriced Voigtlander hood! But hey, it's a damn nice hood, cast and then machined aluminum, fits to the lens, not screwed into the filter threads - well worth the money.

These remind me of my 35mm Nokton though the oof areas aren't quite as clinical as the 35mm IMO.
