Anyone tried the best profile vor this lens on a digital M?

the pre-asph 35mm lux profile seems to work better than the asph 35 lux, but what I do is to apply the correct Nokton 40/1.2 correction profile on Lightroom on post.

Switched from LR to DXO as I don't like LR and its (for me) crazy and unflexible workflow.
So LR profiles are no solution for me 😉

I just acquired this lens - just boxed it up to send out to have the flange milled for 6-bit coding. I'm planning on coding it as a 50mm Noctilux.

But before I boxed it up I had to run a comparison with the 50 and 35 FLs on my M10-P (set on a tripod). Forget the photography - this is my loft and simply intended to show the margins between the three lenses. The bookcase is about 10-feet back - all three lenses were shot wide-open.

Leica 50mm Asph Summilux f/1.4

CV 40mm Nokton f/1.2

Zeiss 35mm Distagon f/1.4

FWIW - The 35mm framelines are reasonably accurate as depicted in the last image above.

Your photos do such a nice job of showcasing the Japanese streets. So clean. No graffiti, no litter, no burned out looted stores. Such things would be so shameful to the Japanese people. I have not been there since the 1990's but it looks cleaner to me than it used to be.

Thank you, fdarnell, you are very, very, kind. But, trust me, we do have a few dirty graffiti defaced streets and a few more of our own social problems. But, all that said I truly do love this country and the people who live here. There is no other place on Earth I want to live.

Yes, the 40mm look is all that! And, the Voigtlander 40mm f1.2 Nokton VM lens delivers it in *****s. "Edit" wow, a common phrase has been censored; maybe I should have said "hearts" instead of "$pades", oh well, life goes on.
